Can I use my own domain ?

Yes, if you already own a domain (www.your-property.com) we will help you connect it to your new website. If you have an existing website, we will help you create your new website without affecting the live website until you are ready to switch.

Do you host email ?

I want to offer the best service possible and for me that means sticking to what I do best, which is creating, managing and supporting vacation rental websites. In my opinion, the best email providers are Microsoft Office 365 and Google’s G-Suite, but there are some cheaper alternatives that I can recommend.

Chalet Engine is always creating new website designs, page templates and sections that you can slot into pages on your website. Our Chalet Engine Cloud provides you with access to this from within your own website.

Yes. The Chalet Engine service, templates and our time to install and setup is completely free at this time. The only cost you need to consider is the payment you will make to register your domain and also to your hosting provider. We have fine-tuned your website to work with a particular host, so you should expect to pay $13 (at current rates) per month for their hosting. If you would rather host elsewhere, you can move your website at any time.

We receive a small one-off commision for referring you to this host which helps finance the free service. It won’t cover all of our time, so in future we will most likely charge a small fee for this service. For now though, we don’t plan to charge anything.

The Starter plan guides you through the process of setting up your hosting and providing us with temporary access so that we can do the tricky part of setting up your website and template design. We have gone to great effort to create a website that you will be able to maintain yourself, but if you do need us, you can purchase a support block of hours. The VIP plan includes a discounted block of hours which you can use for advice and support. We can only offer support by email at this time.

My original idea was to create something that owners could completely manage themselves. This will be the case for many and I will be recording video guides and instructions to help cover the vast majority of your needs.

However, over the years I’ve discovered that different owners have different support needs. Some like to be fully hands on, while others prefer to offload everything to a web developer. Having a block of hours means that you can use as much or as little as needed.

When you use your block of hours, we deduct time in 5 minute increments and notify you as soon as it drops below 1 hour so that you can charge it up.

The support block is for small tasks, advice and to help you get unstuck. We like to think of these as small jobs that can be completed in less than 20 minutes.
